Purchased 4x for closeup work on micro electronics soldering. I don't recommend strictly as reading glasses but they sure work well for small printing on labels.. Focus is really short 6"-8" from the tip of nose in my case, but was just what I needed..
For an extreme magnification view of close up work these glasses are a good buy..

Since it is not possible to find reading glasses with magnification higher than 3.5 in stores, the products available through Amazon fill the bill at a good price. The half eye style magnifying reading glasses (+4) came in a set of three and provided needed magnification through optical quality plastic lenses- no distortion as is sometimes the case with plastic. The price was very reasonable and shipping was quick. Would recommend this provider for future purchase of eyeglasses. I am pleased with the product.

My wife has discovered that she needs strong reading glasses to read some of the books with very small print! She has a Kindle DX that she loves and is able to make the printing bigger - hooray! She also likes to exchange physical books with friends, and that is when she requires the extra magnification. The set of three half-style glasses are okay and do the job. They are slightly lightweight and rather flimsy, but did not cost a lot for the three items and will do just fine. It is almost impossible to find the higher magnification numbers anywhere, ie: +4.0, so she was happy to find these!

Normally when I get reading glasses it costs me at least $9 for 1 and they're horrible. But I paid $9 for 3 and all were 4.0 which is good for me since I can't see anymore LOL. Getting old is a pain when you like to read!!!
